“Shebang“ is on loan to the First Fruits Arts Center, Watergrasshill, County Cork, Ireland
“Shebang” was born in 2020. Bit by bit, the parts were constructed at my kitchen table in Cork, Ireland, from recycled refuse from our household and the construction of my studio. After months of painstaking work – hard on my hands – I had a big pile of components and no idea how to put them together. I called my sister Angela in the US and asked her to pray for me as I tried to piece together this large, detail-intensive, then-unnamed work of art.
